Saw you from a distance.

And wondered who you were.

And made up this thing

In my mind

Of whom I imagined

You might be.

In my mind

As I imagined

And watched you from a distance

I wished we had met before.

I imagined walking up to you

And saying something

That would make you smile.

And I wondered

If you would like me.

And I imagined

What it would be like

If you did.

And I imagined

Walking with you

And making you smile.

And then he walked up

And you smiled at him

And he gave you a kiss.

But I still wondered

who you were

And what it would be like

If we had met before.

Even now

I still wonder

And imagine sometimes

Being the one

That would make you smile.
